Ms. McDermott was someone who made such an impact on me. My favorite teacher, I carried her 'true' lessons with my throughout life. I'm so glad I got to share with her just how grateful I was for her instilling such strength and confidence in me at such a young age. You never know the impact your words/actions have on children, choose them wisely. She knew this, and I for one am better for it. RIP, your life of service to others is a continued inspiration.

So sad to hear of Claire’s passing! Fond memories all the way back to first grade when she came up to me in the school parking lot and told me she knew another Claire! We became friends after that! So many more memories over the years! A very giving person! All my condolences to the family! I am sure you have great lifetime memories that will help to comfort you!
