On February 25, 2014, Viola S. Foster, age 97, died peacefully at home with her family around her. She was predeceased in 1999 by her loving husband William Sr. Viola was the loving mother of William Jr. and wife Barbara of Lantana, FL and Linda Toner and husband Stephen of Mullica Hill, NJ. She was also the loving mother-in-law of Elaine Varga and husband Stephen. Also survived by her granddaughter Tami Babij and husband Greg, of Highland Beach FL, and grandson Dr. Stephen Varga and wife Dr. Colleen Varga of San Antonio, TX, and 3 great grandchildren, Siena, Luca and Aston. Also surviving is a sister, Anna Rettew, of West Deptford, NJ. Viola was the oldest of seven children born at home in Haddonfield, NJ to John and Jennette Stainker. Viola graduated from Gloucester High School in 1934 and married William in 1938. They were married for 60 years and raised their family in Gloucester City NJ. Upon retirement, they moved to Hammonton and she most recently resided in Mullica Hill with her daughter. Viola had a passion for flowers, needlepoint and liked to read and play the organ.
