Mr John D'Alessandro & Family,
So very sorry for your family's loss. Mr Mike "D" was an especially outstanding presence in CHS as teacher, coach, leader - one of the many members of the Collingswood Public School system's memorable teachers who led so many of us in classes, sports, and other school activities. We assure you that he has been and will continue to be long and fondly remembered as an important influence and fond memory to all CHS Alum who had the good fortune and honor to be taught, and led to adulthood by him. We were, and remain, better for it.

I am so sorry on the loss of your dear Michael. In the Bible at Psalms 34:17 & 18 we are told that God can rescue us from our distresses, and he longs to be there for those who mourn. I pray that you reach out for that guidance, and may you have peace and support through family and friends.

I had Mr. D'Alessandro as my World History Teacher in 9th grade. As a young freshman coming to Collingswood Junior High School, I was shy. quiet and not willing to speak up in class. Mr. D'Alessandro was one who encouraged me to participate and share my thoughts. He was an excellent teacher and I always thought of him as a great example of one who made the subject matter come alive. My condolences to his family; may your good thoughts include the knowledge of all he did for the the students at Collingswood.

I was fortunate to have had Mike as both a football coach as well as a teacher. He taught me respect and a winning attitude that I have taken through my working career as well as my personal life. The life lessons he taught me I will be forever grateful.
He made a huge impact on me and I will never forget him. My Deepest Condolences to the whole D’Alessandro Family. I am traveling and will not be able to attend his services.
God Bless Mike

The Old Coll came out of football coaching retirement to coach our freshman team in 1981. We all learned a lot that year and not just about football. He shared stories about prejudice in his day, his battle against Atlantic City High, broken teeth, about Skeets Irvine, the Crusades, The Flipper and much more. Obviously he made an impact on us. Thanks Coach

Rich has been a friend and tennis teammate of mine for over 25 years. Mr. and Mrs. D attended all of Rich’s tennis matches and were our good luck charms for our tennis teams . Our USTA teams went to nationals five times over 15 years with the steady eye of Mr D watching oot our matches. The last one was in 2017 and Mr D was there to cheer us on to win the tournament and clinch a bid to nationals. We were 5-0 in those competitions. I always felt confident as a player and later as a captain when Mr. and Mrs D attended our big matches. A great man who I admired. The South Jersey tennis community sends our condolences to Mrs D, Rich and family.
