Obituary of Robert A Harmer
On Monday, December 17, 2018, Robert “Bob” Harmer, loving husband and father, passed away at age 79.
Bob was born on February 26, 1939, in Philadelphia, PA to Raymond and Elizabeth Harmer . He was a successful banker, realtor and business man. On April 26, 1962, he married his first wife, BarbaraAnn Carr, and they shared a wonderful life and raised four children in Lansdowne, Pa. They were happily married for 34 years, until BarbaraAnn’s sudden passing on November 24, 1995.
Bob later met Theresa “Terrie” DelGrosso. They married on September 25, 1998. They shared a loving marriage of 20 years, and enjoyed a peaceful life in Stratford, NJ.
In his lifetime, Bob was a United States Air Force veteran, and loved to play golf, swim and watch football. He also enjoyed the beach, fishing, house carpentry, yard-work, gardening and new adventures. He was known for his great sense of humor, sarcasm, and gentle smile.
Bob is predeceased by first wife BarbaraAnn, and sister Joan.
Bob is survived by his current wife Terrie, his brother Raymond and sister Judy, his four children, Elizabeth, Suzanne, David and Michael, his grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kyle, Chris, Nicholas, Arianna, Brytnee, Justyn, Makenzee, step-daughter Amanda, and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Danks-Hinski Funeral Home on 125 N. White Horse Pike in Lindenwold, NJ 08021 from 9:30am-10:30am, and a mass will follow after at 11am at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Parish at Saint Luke Church on 55 Warwick Road. He will be interred at St Peter and Paul Cemetery at 1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064 following the mass.
