So sorry on the loss of this honorable man. The condolences left previously paint him as an all around good guy. I'm sure he will be missed by many. Sometimes it is hard for us to go on without our loved ones, however, the Bible gives us hope. It says at Psalms 34:17 & 18 that God will rescue us from our distresses, and he wants to comfort those who mourn. Please accept my deepest condolences, and may you find love and support through family and friends.

I'm so sorry to hear about your heart wrenching loss. I have been honored to have known him briefly while were in the Navy. I originally knew him as a fellow “Robert”. He was a confident, self-possessed person with a strong moral compass and a heart full of compassion. It is difficult to even begin to describe how much he will be missed.
More than just as a friend, I want to say how grateful I am as a citizen to have known him as a friend and a fellow veteran.
I do not recall how we accidently reconnected a few years ago, however I do recall that he gave me free advice about my car and its problems and what vehicle to buy in 2017. He spoke highly of his family and his wish to travel the country with them. He wanted to experience the enjoyment and companionship with them.
Larry indicated over a year ago that he wanted to stop by on a motorcycle trip as he made his way to/from Sturgis, South Dakota in August and possibly attend the 100th Anniversary of founding of the American Legion, here in Minneapolis. I was in the midst of making August arrangements for him to meet with the former National Commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Hershel Gober and accompany me at some of the festivities.
Unfortunately, as he described what he was experiencing medically, he felt that it was no longer practical to come.
American Legion Post #1 wishes to acknowledge the sacrifices and exemplary life made by our dearly departed comrade as an Honorary Member of this post. Please accept our small token of remembrance [Cap & Wreath].

Growing up in South Jersey in the 70s and 80s, I have so many fond memories of the Cummings, Sanflippo and Donges families being together. My dad (Mike RIP), Larry (RIP), and Ralph were friends first - then the wives - then us kids. Watching Flyers games (including two Stanley Cup years), dinners, parties, and barbecues were the norm. It was just what we did!
Fast forward to adulthood and I have been fortunate enough to still have these families in my life. Now they have watched MY kids grow up!
Larry was like an uncle to me - always called him Uncle Larry! Laid back, generous and hilarious are words I use to describe him. He'd do anything for you. He was truly the salt of the earth and will be missed by many.
Peg, Tina, and Dan, you were blessed to have Larry in your lives. His memory will live on. Love you guys.
