JOHN C. O’BRIEN, 93, born 1924, of Laurel Springs, NJ went to Heaven February 11, 2018. A Navy World War II Veteran aboard the USS Walker DD517, served a year in the Korean War, graduated from Temple University, worked as an account and returned to Laurel Springs where he supported & cared for his mother and sisters. A member of the Knights of Columbus and active in his community. He is survived by Ethel Myles of Hamilton Square, NJ and Elizabeth O’Brien of Laurel Springs, NJ and several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces & nephews. John volunteered as a mediator for the Camden County Court house for many years, was awarded many Certificates of Appreciation from the Laurel Springs Borough for serving on numerous councils, and was a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.   

Friends and Family are invited to attend a viewing on Friday February 16, 2018 from 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM at Danks-Hinski Funeral Home, 125 North White Horse Pike, Lindenwold NJ 08021.

Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. Lawrence Church Campus from 11 AM to 12 PM. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemtery at 300 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin NJ, 08009. Condolences at www.dankshinskifuneralhome.com
