“Welcome home”
Well this is the third letter that I have ever written you and this time it is not to say “get well soon” but to say “Welcome Home”. I have come to acceptance that yes you are gone but gone to a much better place. I always wonder about that part when people say that “we have gone to a better place” to where we are now…..why would I want to leave the ones that I love so much? I think acceptance has something to do with it but “faith” says it all. Having faith on what God has installed for us all but yes we must accept faith deep within our hearts and souls. We take what he (God) gives us, make the best of it to our ability and go beyond. My brother Darryl you have lit up…my life and countless others. You greet your friends, families and those you have just met with a friendly “Hello” and that God given smile that just brightens your face. You give to others before they even ask and you ask nothing in return. Your friends are a testimony on how great of a person you really were and how much you will be missed. There is this one poem that I love so much that I thought I would share it with you……
The River
This River runs from Dark to Light
So I must say, "Adieu, kind friends"
And 'tho my ship sails from your sight;
It does not mean my journey ends
It only means the River bends...
See you then my friend…love you with all my heart…

Darryl, I will miss your smile. You always had a kind word and a laugh for me. You were my childhood friend who I held in high regard. Im thankful to have known you. Theresa, you have my deepest sympathy. You were blessed with walking through life with a good man. I pray for you and your entire family to find peace at this time of sorrow. May God bless you as he holds Darryl until you are reunited again in heaven.
With love in sorrow,
Joyce
