Obituary of Vincent O'Malley

~~Vincent Xavier (Uncle Vin) O'Malley. Born in New York City, longtime resident of New
Milford, NJ before moving 12 years ago to Voorhees. Passed away peacefully at home on
September 16th, 2017. Dear Uncle of Jackie (Peggy) O'Malley, Marie (Ron)
Pietkewicz, Katherine (Stewart) Stolper, Stephen O'Malley (Ruth Baker), Susan Babcock (Wesley Mingin), Martin (Cathey) O'Malley, David (Elyce) O'Malley, Owen
(Claire) O'Malley, Linda (Martin) Callinan, Carol (Jimmy) Murphy and
Johnny O'Malley. Also survived by his numerous great nieces and nephews,
dear neighbors Nil and Manny Jaiswal, and all extended family, neighbors,
and friends. Vincent worked as a salesperson for Canadian National (CN)
until his retirement in 1986. He had many canine companions over the years,
including Maxwell, Duffy, Duffy 2, his pal Bentley, and favorite girl Maggie.
He was an avid baseball fan, always considering himself a "student of the
Game." He loved to banter and was able to challenge anyone with his
knowledge of sports and politics. He listened to his favorite music (Dean,
Frank, and Bing) and watched his favorite westerns right up until the end.
Uncle Vin was the center of the O'Malley Universe and will be sorely missed
by all who knew him. He is predeceased by his Mother, Father and siblings
Thomas, Florence, John, Dorothy, and Gerard. Relatives and friends are
invited to his viewing on Friday, September 22nd 9:30 - 11:15 am, at St.
Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 27 Kresson-Gibbsboro Rd,
Gibbsboro, NJ 08043 (churchofsaintandrews.org) immediately followed by a
funeral Mass at 11:30 am.
