Raymond Herbert Hughes, of Sicklerville, age 70,passed away on December 8, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Sylvia (nee Doto), devoted father of Robert and his wife Joanne, Michael and his wife Christina, Kristen and her husband Sedat Aydin, proud grandfather of five: Hayden; Raelynn; Quinn; Haley; and Nisa. Also survived by two sisters Adeline (Cookie) and her husband Ron Flury, and Kathleen McDermott; along with many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hughes was the extremely proud owner of Ray’s Maintenance Company for 41 years and defined the road to success through his hard work, drive and passion to provide for his loved ones. “Big Ray” had a larger than life personality and truly lived life to the fullest. He loved his family and friends and touched so many with his infectious love and laughter. The love he had for his family and friends and outlook on life will be missed by all. A special heartfelt thank you to all of Ray’s longtime devoted customers. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a viewing on Monday, December 12, 2016 between 7pm and 9 pm, and again on Tuesday morning between 10am and 11 am at the Danks-Hinski Funeral Home, 125 N. White Horse Pike at South Ave., Lindenwold, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, St. Lawrence Campus. Interment will be at Calvary, Cherry Hill, NJ.
