John “Jack” H. Lyons, on October 30, 2016, of Stratford, age 92. Loving husband of the late Virginia (nee Goldthorp), devoted father of eleven, he is predeceased by one son, proud grandfather of thirty two grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and is predeceased by one grandson. He is also survived by one sister Joan, a member of the order of Sisters of St. Joseph. Jack served in the US Marine Corp. in WWII and was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th degree. Jack was the owner of Lyons Steel Erecting and Rigging Corp. for 30 years, a member of Steel Workers Local 399 of Westville for 60 years and instrumental in building St. Lawrence Church and St. Luke’s Church. He was very involved in politics in the town Stratford. The funeral and interment will be at the convenience of the family and under the direction of Dank-Hinski Funeral Home of Lindenwold.
