Obituary of James Aloysius Holland

James Aloysius Holland of Lindenwold, formerly of Pennsauken, age 68, passed away at home with his family on October 29, 2015. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years Betty Lou (nee Hanson). Devoted father of Danielle Rota and Melissa Ware. Proud grandfather of twin sisters Abigail and Samantha and Xander and Brooke. Also survived by his dedicated sister Denise LaBrose and cherished niece and nephews. Jimmy was a proud Marine who served in the Viet Nam War (1966-67) and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He worked at the University of Pennsylvania as an electrician for 37 years. Mr. Holland founded the Jersey Devils Girls Fast Pitch Softball team and was a dedicated coach and mentor for 22 years. In 2006 he was inducted into the New Jersey Amateur Softball Association “Hall of Fame” honoring distinguished coaches. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a viewing on Tuesday evening between 7 – 9 PM and again on Wednesday between 9- 10:45 AM at the Danks-Hinski Funeral Home, 125 N. White Horse Pike at South Ave., Lindenwold. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, St. Lawrence Campus. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Cinnaminson.
