Chester A. "Sarge" Manko, Suddenly, on December 25, 2011 of Somerdale, age 82. Loving husband of Elizabeth (nee Mullins). Proud father of Chester J. of Avon, IN, Kevin of Ephrata, PA, Patricia of Collingswood, Michael "Mitch" (Anne-Marie) Stratford, proud grandfather of Erin, Peter, Kellie, Brianna and Quinton, and two great grandchildren, Kelena and Blake. Also survived by one sister, Florence Boyer of Wilkes-Barre PA. Sarge joined the Navy at age 15 and served in both the Navy and later the Army during WWII, the Korean War Conflict and the Vietnam War. After 23 years of service he retired as a Sergeant 1st Class Nuclear Weapons Foreman. After retiring from the Military, he worked for Denton Vacuum for 18 years as a draftsman who did work for NASA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a viewing on Friday between 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at the Danks Hinski Funeral Home 125 N. White Horse Pike at South Ave., Lindenwold, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, St. Luke's Church, Stratford. Interment will be at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Somerdale V.F.W. Post #7334, 10 Kennedy Blvd., Somerdale, NJ 08083. Condolences may be offered at www.dankshinskifuneral home.com.
