Philomena Marie Carmella Napoli Johnson
On this day, October 7, 2011 our beloved Mother was called to be with our Lord in His loving arms in paradise. Born to Italian immigrants Giovanna and Alfonso Napoli and lived on Clinton St. in Camden NJ. Phyllis fought a brave and courageous life. During her life she maintained a good home, job and raised two girls. PJ, made a home of love, peace, joy, and happiness. She taught to always give of yourself and our heart to others in need. Phyllis always had a magical way of making a place at the table for more to share a meal with her. She always accomplished what she set her mind to. Even times there was no money or food, she placed her faith in God.
Our Mom worked hard over the years, a soda shop in Camden, Whitman's Candy factory, coat factory, Edmunds Scientific, Deluxe bakery and Gimbels. Even Campbell Soup as did her Mother and Sister. Mom was self sufficient, could fix anything, had a greenish thumb, loved to garden, jar and pickle fresh fruits and vegetables. Mom thaught us that if we did not grow it or raise it we did not have it. We raised chickens and had wonderful gardens. Her love was her flower gardens, she was a pro to make anything grow.
Mom was a great cook. Her cream puffs and Italian cookies were the best in the world. Unbelievalbe meatballs and raviolis made from scratch.
Phyllis is survived by duaghter Deborah Ann Osisek and husband Peter David Osisek living in Lindenwold, with thier two children Kari Marie and David Christopher grandchildren. David married to Brittany is a sergeant in the army and is currently deployed in S. Korea. Great grandchildren, Shannon, Alyssa, Brianna and Blaze. Daughter Patricia Marie and husband Dan Ruebeck, of Magnolia. Also, survived by her two brothers Alfonso and Angelo, and sister Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
