ZIEVIS, Raymond L. 85, succumbed to cancer on Wednesday, December 15,2010. Born and raised in Laurel Springs, NJ, Ray loved nature and all it had to offer. He fished, hunted and hiked until Barbara Borucki won his heart. She would be his wife for 51 years until her passsing in 2007. Ray could not let go of thier full life together that included his retirement years in Florida with Barbara. His children take comfort in knowing that he had a happy life, and by knowing that he is reunited with their mom. Ray was loved for his free spirit, gentle heart, and his appreciation for life. He is surived by his three children; sons Larry and Brian Zievis of Raleigh, NC, and daughter Marian Rupertus of Middletown, DE. Special to Ray also includeds daughter-in-law Debbie Zievis of Raleigh NC, and son-in-law Thaddeus Rupertus of Middletown, DE. Last and most of all, Pop-Pop will be forever loved by granddaughters Vanessa Rupertus and Laura Zievis, Ray is also survived by brother Elwood of Stratford, NJ and brother-in-law, Thomas Borucki of Cinnaminson, NJ. Friends may visit with the family from 7 to 9 PM on Sunday and again Monday morning from 9 to 9:45 AM at Danks-Hinski Funeral Home, White Horse Pike and South Avenue, Lindewold, NJ. Mass of Christan Burial to follow at 10 AM from St. Lawrence Church, Lindenwold. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chews Landing, NJ.
