POLOGRUTO, Jennie Age 92 of Centreville, DE and formerly of Inverness, FL, passed away peacefully holding the hand of her daughter Anita Cleaver and Cabrina Palme on Tuesday June 8, 2010. Jennie knew she was surrounded with the love of her family and waiting for Jesus to take her home to reunite with her beloved husband Tony. Born in Genoa, Italy June 24, 1918 to the late Pasquale and Maria Camilli, she immigrated to the USA in 1928, settling in Philadelphia, and was a longtime resident of Clementon and Atlantic City NJ. Active in the SDA church, she was loved, respected and well known for her kindness, charity and generosity. She worked tirelessly as a volunteer in the local hospitals, nursing homes and community, and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. She loved being with people and shared her big heart with everyone that she met. Her faith in God and love of family and friends sustained Jennie, and she will be dearly missed. She was predeceased by her loving husband Anthony of 62 years and granddaughter Laura Palme, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her children: Joan Knoll (Don), Anthony Pologruto(Ruth), Cabrina Palme (Larry), Anita Cleaver (John), Lawrence Pologruto (Donna), 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Also survived by her daughter in law, Joyce Sewell and many extended family members and friends. Visitation on Friday, June 18th from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11am from the DANKS-HINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 125 White Horse Pike, Lindenwold, NJ. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
