Obituary of William A. Messner

William A. Messner, age 74, of Mays Landing, formerly of Lindenwold, NJ, passed away on June 25, 2023. 

Bill was a proud United States Marine veteran and served in the Vietnam war. He was an avid reader and loved a good mystery. After his son passed away, he took over for him, volunteering for the Lindenwold Fire Department. Bill was honored to take over that role. He was a great man, who adored his family, and he will be missed by many.

Beloved husband of Levia A. Messner. Devoted father of the late William A. Messner, Jr. Dear brother of Mary Ruppel. Loving brother-in-law of James A. Longo, Sr. (Denise), Vincent Barcelone and Larry Barcelone (Janice). He is also survived by his niece and nephew, Jean Marie Zitter (Jeffrey), James A. Longo, Jr. (Tina), great nieces and nephews, Ciara Nicole Zitter, Zachary Charles Zitter, Vincent James Longo, Vanessa Marie Longo, and his fur baby, Savannah. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 9:30AM - 10:30AM at the DANKS-HINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 125 N. WHITE HORSE PIKE, LINDENWOLD, NJ 08021. Memorial service 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery and Mausoleum, Blackwood, NJ.
