Obituary of James Lynwood Moore

James Lynnwood Moore, age 61, of Pine Hill, NJ, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 after a yearlong battle with cancer.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran. 

Beloved husband of Cheryl (née Rudi); father of Christopher (Lauren) and Zachary; brother of David (Anna); and brother-in-law of Stanley Stevenson (Ellen).  Also survived by nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Lynnwood and Gloria Moore, and his sisters Barbara Stevenson (Moore) and Lynda Jane Moore (Scot Bay).  He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend and will be greatly missed.

Jim, originally from Philadelphia, grew up in Roxborough where he met and married Cheryl, his wife of 37 years.  After graduation, he enlisted in the Army, was stationed overseas in Germany, and eventually settled in Pine Hill where they raised their two sons. Jim enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, summers in Sea Isle, coaching and supporting his sons in soccer and baseball, and a dry Cab Franc.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11 AM at the Danks-Hinski Funeral Home, 125 N White Horse Pike, Laurel Springs, NJ 08021.  Services will be held at 11 AM. Interment services will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance at www.ccalliance.org.
