Obituary of Magda Elena Cruz

Magda Elena Cruz, 83 years, of Voorhees, passed away on February 17, 2023. Beloved wife of 62 years of the late Cruz Cruz. Loving mother of Magda G. Allendorf (Scott), Richard Cruz (Kathy), Glenn Cruz (Barbara) and the late James G. Cruz. Dear sister of surviving brothers, Billy Arce, David Rodriguez, Alvin Rodriguez and Alex Rodriguez. Cherished grandmother of twelve and great grandmother of four.

Magda worked for the New Jersey Health Department for 20 year before retiring with her late husband to Houston,TX. She was an amazing woman who pushed herself to constantly learn and try new things. A devoted Christian that taught Sunday school for over 40 years. She also volunteered at the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Houston for over 10 years. A loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, an entrepreneur and sale’s woman, an amazing cook, baker and avid reader. Magda somehow always made time for family and friends and never let anyone leave her home without a meal. Magda left a profound influence of faith and love on everyone she met.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at DANKS-HINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 125 N. WHITE HORSE PIKE, LINDENWOLD NJ 08021.
