Obituary of Frederick Martin

Frederick Martin, 76 years, of Somerdale NJ, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2022. Devoted and beloved husband of Carla Martin (née Carrara). Loving father of Christina (Paul) Lonergan, Frederick (Dawn) Martin, Jr. and Patrick (Katie) Martin. Dear brother of Margaret Delagol, Kate Cavallaro, and the late John Martin, Michael Martin, Joseph Martin and Patricia Hartman. Cherished grandfather of Jase, Carlee, Rylee, Zaya, and Maxie Martin, & Patrick, Tommy, Paul (Alexis) Lonergan, and great grandfather of Shay Lonergan. 

Fred was the owner of J.F. Martin, Inc, Welding Supplies & Compressed Gases in Philadelphia, which was founded by his parents John and Margaret in 1948. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1965-67. He loved to be surrounded by family. Our loving and lasting memory of “Pop” is him playing in his pool with his grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday May 20, 2022 from 9:00AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish St. Lawrence Church, 135 N. White Horse Pike, Lindenwold NJ 08021. Memorial Mass 11:00AM. Interment to take place privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital at the Office of Institutional Advancement Department 825434, PO Box 71331 Philadelphia PA 19176-1331 would be appreciated.
