So sorry to hear that Phyllis has passed on. She, Marian and Skip spent a weekend in Easton, Md many years ago. We spent one day exploring family places in Talbot Co. It was a fun visit. Phyllis researched the Mason family history and gave us a book. We are grateful for that. Sorry that we haven't kept in touch.
Sending our deepest sympathy,
Mary, Jerry, Ruth Ann Mason

To the Scherzer family, just wanted to offer my condolences and regret at hearing the passing of Mrs. Scherzer. About ten yrs.ago Mrs. Scherzer had me paged at shop-rite, where I was working at the time. I was so surprised, after not seeing her for so many years, that she would remember me, we shared a big hug, and a few memories, may she rest in peace...one more thing she was a great den mother as a cub scout troop 211 or 121 not sure which one. I met you when I was 15. I called you Mom and then I called you O'Ma, when the grandbabies came along. We shared the same initials "PMS" - ha! You taught me how to crochet, how to make those pretty lampshades, how to do tin piercing, how to stencil and how to quilt. You tried to teach me to make those little pecan tarts, but then you wisely suggested you could finish that for me. Good idea. You once conspired with your family to make me eat rabbit, and from that time forward you ALWAYS told me "there's no rabbit in it". Thanks for that, seriously. You could really tell a story, like the time you said you "found a body".when you were out for a walk And while everyone sat there with their jaws dropped, I said "O'ma, do you mean you found a person"? And yes, that was what you meant, you found a person. And I remember laughing so hard when you said you were all spruced up with your new implants; you forgot to say "dental" implants. I still tell that story. Thanks for so much, Sweet Lady. And mostly, thanks for raising that really good kid who married me. I love you. ~Pam

I had the privilege of working with Phyllis on a weekly basis at the Posh pomegranate antique store in Woodbury. Everyone who came into the store was greeted with her warm smile. If we were not busy, she was always industriously working on her beautiful Victorian handmade lampshades or making clever little boxes out of paper. She was a wonderful craftswoman and it was a joy to watch her at work. Spending the day behind the counter was Phyllis was always a fun experience.
