Obituary of Alma Rose Hartz

Alma Rose Hartz (née Bertrand), age 87 years of Stratford NJ, went home to be with the Lord on January 21, 2022. Alma was the beloved wife of her high school sweetheart, Ronald Creighton Hartz, for 67 years.

 

Alma loved taking road trips to new destinations around the country with “her Ron.” Alma was a devoted mother who enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, cooking delicious meals for her family. She had a passion for crocheting and blessed countless people with her beautiful creations. 

 

Alma was the loving mother of Ron (Mary) Hartz, Karin (Mark) Lail, and the late Baby Donna Jean and Rick Hartz. She was the dear sister of Nancy (Harry) Bennett, Gilbert Bertrand, and Paul (Jeanie) Bertrand. Alma was also the cherished grandmother of Deidre (Cody), Kristina, Ronnie, Christopher, and Jessica and the great-grandmother of Alex, Sierra, and CJ. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. 

 

As per Alma’s wishes, services and interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Alma’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
