Obituary of Catherine Theresa Tumolo

Catherine T. “Kate” Tumolo (née Brett) resident of Stratford NJ for 67 years.  Daughter of the late Thomas J. and Margaret Frain Brett of Germantown. Beloved wife of the late Victor Tumolo. Devoted mother of Diane Gizzi, Annette Tumolo (Cheryl), Karen Irvin (Dan), Jill Pedersen (Erik) and Victor B. Tumolo (Katie). Loving grandmother to Jenna Buffetta, Jill M. Farley, Michael Farley, Justin, Shane and Maggie Irvin, Brett and Julia Pedersen, Claire Applewood, Dante and Ronan Tumolo. Dear great grandmother to Jacqueline, Dino and Jill Buffetta, Quinn and Ella Farley, Trevor and Lily Irvin. Beloved sister of Margaret Wittikind, Nancy Nelson, Eileen Flynn and Maureen Saxon. Predeceased by her brothers John Brett and Thomas Brett.

Kate was a medical receptionist for 25 years, a member of the St. Luke’s Rosary Altar and St. Luke’s Travel Club, Red Hats Club, Stratford Swim Club Board Member and Mayo Society of Philadelphia member.

Kate was an amazing cook of Italian food.  She never met a stranger and could light up a room and make you feel like the most special person in it.  Her sense of humor was legendary, her love of family was all-embracing, her Catholic faith was her North Star.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday morning from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish St. Luke Church, 55 Warwick Rd., Stratford NJ 08084. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00AM. Interment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke’s Church at the address above.
