Obituary of Ida M. Salvato
Ida M. Salvato (née Hall), 81 years, of Smyrna DE, formerly of Stratford, NJ passed away on December 1, 2021. Daughter of the late Edward and Ida (née Luck) Hall. Beloved wife of the late Daniel Salvato. Loving mother of Angela (Robert) Cassella, Michael (Olga Elliot) Salvato, Valerie (Mark) Hafner and the late Daniel (Tricia) Salvato. Dear sister of Edward (Donna) Hall, Jr., Thomas (Carol) Hall and her sister and best friend Kathryn Risley. Loving grandmother of Robert (Rich) Cassella, Amanda (Dave) McGough, Nicholas Salvato, Ryan Salvato, Cassandra Fosler and Mark Hafner, Jr. and great grandmother of Makenna and Brogan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, but a special thanks to her two nieces, Dr. Kelly Bolkus-Moffa and Lynn Shay, RN who were such amazing advisors during her illness.
Ida was a homemaker most of her life but worked in the cafeteria of Overbrook in her later years. She loved to crochet, especially making blankets for her friends and family. She also used to enjoy trips to the casino and was known to play casino games on her phone in recent years. Most of all she cherished and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday December 13, 2021 from 10:00AM to 10:45AM at the DANKS-HINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 125 N. WHITE HORSE PIKE LINDENWOLD NJ 08021. Memorial service to follow at the funeral home. Interment of ashes immediately following in Locustwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island NY 10306 would be appreciated.
