Obituary of Emil A. Overpeck

Emil Overpeck, 91 years, of Somerdale NJ, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Overpeck (née McDowell).  Loving father of Earl (Michele) and James (Susan); proud grandfather of James Jr. (Victoria), Thomas (Nicole), Rachel (Tom), Jessica and David. Son of the late Earl and Alice (née Wulforst) Overpeck. Predeceased by his sisters Ester Demo, Anna May Danfield, Alice Myers, Blanche Turner, Evelyn Heimlich, Henrietta (Sis) Owens and his brothers Arthur, Frank, Earl, John and Gerome.

Emil served in the Army, U.S. Navy and Airforce from 1946-1953. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and gardener. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at the DANKS-HINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 125 N WHITE HORSE PIKE, LINDENWOLD, NJ 08021. Memorial Service 11:00am at the funeral home.  Interment in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery will be held privately.
