Obituary of Virginia A. Knowlton

Virginia Ann Knowlton (née Hubay), age 87, of Stratford NJ, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Richard D. Knowlton; Mother of Lesa C. Knowlton and the late Richard D. Knowlton Jr. (Susan); Grandmother of Richard D. III, Kenneth, Amie and Christian; Sister of Josephine and the late Victorian, Marcella and Alexander; Step-sister of Jackie Schroder (née Jaskowiak) and the late Steve Jaskowiak. 

 

Virginia worked as a medical assistant and the perfect Mother. She was a vital member of the Elizabeth Haddon Toy and Doll Club, The Red Hats, and the PHS class of 1950 Memorial Committee. Virginia fell for the Love of her life at Fried Motors in Pottsville, PA, when Richard walked in the door after serving as a Marine in The Korean War, to purchase his first car. This love story survived 61 years and beyond.

 

The family will receive family and friends Saturday October 9, 2021 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish St. Luke Church, 55 Warwick Avenue Stratford NJ 08084. Memorial mass 12:00PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Animal Welfare Association at 509 Centennial Blvd, Voorhees NJ 08043 would be appreciated.
