Obituary of John F. Anastasi, Sr.

John F. “Jack” Anastasi, 82 years, of Stratford NJ, passed away on July 5, 2021. Beloved husband of Barbara Anastasi (née Butkus). Loving father of Denise Anastasi-Santora (Anthony), Susan Anastasi, Frances Emmons-Anastasi (Christopher) and John F. Anastasi, Jr. (Jessica). Dear brother of Rose Dawson, Antoinette Hay (Steve) and the late Mary O'Brien and his twin Philip Anastasi. Cherished grandfather of Marisa Santora, Anthony Santora, IV, Alexandra Lukens, John F. Anastasi, III and Julie Anastasi. Also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Jack worked for many years at the Philadelphia Naval Yard as a welder. After his retirement he worked as a courier for South Jersey Radiology. Jack’s love of the shore was known to everyone, he enjoyed going there fishing and crabbing. He and his family also bowled for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday morning from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at the DANKS-HINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 125 N. WHITE HORSE PIKE LINDENWOLD NJ 08021. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. Luke Church 55 Warwick Rd, Stratford NJ 08084. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Blackwood NJ.
