Obituary of Doris P Gagliardi

Doris Hannan Gagliardi, 89, of Laurel Springs, NJ passed away peacefully on June 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving children. Daughter of the late Joseph and Charlotte (née Quinn) Hannan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Gagliardi; her son, Georgie “Pud” Gagliardi; and her brother, Jack Hannan. 

She is survived by her 4 daughters, 3 sons; Doris (Pete) Armbruster, Sharon (the late Bill) Neborak, Carolyn (Ray) Cianci, Cynthia (the late Don) Ford, Joseph Gagliardi, Nicholas (Samantha) Gagliardi, James (Krista) Gagliardi; and also, her brother, Joseph Hannan. 

She was the cherished grandmother of 28 grandchildren and “GiGi” to 35 great-grandchildren. 

Doris grew up in Schuylkill, where she graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School and worked at Western Savings Bank for 30 years as an accountant. She had a great devotion to Saint Anthony, whom she lovingly called “Ant.” She loved to watch the Phils, play bingo, cards, and the lottery. She also loved her cat, Misty-girl.  

Doris’s family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff at Jefferson Hospital, Stratford, NJ.

Doris will be missed by so many, but her memory will live on in the hearts all of those who loved her dearly. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday morning from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at Saint Lawrence Church; 135 N. White Horse Pike, Lindenwold, NJ 08021. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Interment will take place privately in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Doris’s name to the Special Olympics at 1133 19^th St. NW 12^th Floor, Washington D.C. 20036-3604, would be appreciated.
