William J. "Bill" Kelly Sr., age 90, originally from Lindenwold, NJ, passed away on July 4, 2014 in Tucson, AZ. Bill is survived by his loving wife Betty, three sons, William Jr. (Barbara) of Long Beach Island, NJ, Robert (Cindy) of Palm Harbor, FL. and Barry (Kathy) of Mount Laurel, NJ; two daughters, Sharon Kelly Kenny of New Buffalo, MI and Elizabeth Timmons (Mark) of Tucson, AZ. Bill has 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary, his stepmother, Ethel (Bowers) Kelly, stepsisters Elsie, Ernestine, and Marie and his beloved daughter Marilou Kelly. Bill was born November 21, 1923 in Philadelphia to John and Mary (Kearny) Kelly. He graduated from Overbrook HS and he attended RI Jr. College. On July 7, 1945 he married Elizabeth Catherine "Betty" Rauscher of Laurel Springs, NJ. Bill had a long successful career as a plant manager at various plastics manufacturing businesses in Camden, NJ, King of Prussia, PA, Warwick, RI, Dover, OH, and lastly Chicago, IL where he retired at the age of 81. He was a past president of the Society of Plastics Engineers, president of his homeowners association in Hanover Park, IL where he lived for 35 years and a Eucharistic Minister for St. Ansgar's Catholic Church. He was the founder and head coach of the wrestling program at Bishop Eustace Prep School. He was an usher and commentator at St. Lawrence Parish. He coached little league baseball and ran for Mayor of Lindenwold, NJ. A viewing will be held at 9:15 to 10:15 am Saturday July 12th at The Danks-Hinski Funeral Home, 125 N. White Horse Pike, Lindenwold, NJ. A 10:30am Funeral Mass to celebrate Bill's life will be held at St. Lawrence Church White Horse Pike, Lindenwold. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ. Mass Cards would be appreciated as well as Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
