Obituary of Lawrence J Taylor, III

Please share a memory of Lawrence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lawrence J. Taylor III, age 61 of Stratford, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on March 23, 2020. Larry (or Lumpy as he was affectionately called by so many family and friends) was raised in Laurel Springs and more recently became a resident of Stratford. Larry spent his entire career in the retail floorcovering business, the major portion at New Deal Carpet, his family business. For the past ten years, he was privileged to be part of Kelley Karpets. Larry is survived by his devoted and adoring wife of 41 years, Elizabeth (nee Elefante); sons, Erik Taylor (Shana) of Greensboro, NC, and Ryan Taylor of Stratford, NJ; and grandson, Eriq. He is also survived by his sister, Lorraine (Lorry) Consorte (Mark) of Lafayette Hill, PA. His loving nephews and nieces were proud to call him Uncle Larry. Aside from his immediate family, Larry is survived by extended family and friends all of whom are left with cherished memories and stories, but also with an unfillable hole in their heart. Larry met Elizabeth (Liz) in 1976, was married in 1979 and their journey of joy began. From their small first home where they lovingly welcomed their son, Erik, to their recent home in Stratford, they were committed to finding happiness and love in life. Larry loved spending weekends and any time off at Lady’s Lake Campground with his village of caring and fun-loving friends, all of whom mourn his passing. Larry’s infectious personality was truly who he was. He made you laugh, he made you feel safe, he made you have fun, he made you feel cared for, he made you feel loved. Once your friend, he was committed to you for life. The interment will be private. The family will plan a celebration of life at a future date. Arrangements under the direction of DANKS-HINSKI FUNERAL HOME, LINDENWOLD NJ. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made in Larry's name to Ability Solutions, 1208 Delsea Drive, Westville, NJ 08093 - or see www.abilities4work.com.
