Ruth was an honorary member of the Woodrow Wilson High School, Class of 1966. We met Ruth when Al brought her to one of our class reunions. I looked forward to sitting with her and Al at other class gatherings. All our classmates who met Ruth were drawn to her and she became known as "Our Ruthie". Ruth and I stayed in touch through Facebook and by phone. I knew her for some time before she told me about her health challenges. She stayed upbeat and told me often how grateful she was for
