Obituary of Anna Marie Campagna
Anna Marie Campagna on February 17, 2019 of Voorhees NJ, formerly of Longport NJ and South Philadelphia PA, age 91. Anna Marie is predeceased by her husband Albert Campagna, and by her son Anthony Campagna, as well as by her parents Charles Pinto and Rose Pinto (nee D’Alessandro), and her siblings Joseph Pinto, Gene Pinto, Elizabeth Peiffer, Carmen Pinto, and Louis Pinto. She is survived by her daughter Rosemary (Jack) Barrett, and her grandchildren Jeffrey Barrett (Denise Marone-Barrett), Kristin Barrett (Eben Flaster), and Jacqueline Barrett (Christian White). Also survived by seven great-grandsons, Michael, Gabriel and Scott Barrett, Max and Miles Flaster, and Henry and Charlie White.
Anna Marie attended St. Rita’ s grade school and graduated from Hallahan High School Class of 1945. She was a link in the chain of friendship between five amazing women which began in grade school and has continued for 85 years. In 1946 she married Albert and they remained married for 68 years until his death in 2014. Anna Marie was dedicated to her son Anthony, and devoted much of her time to his many health issues. Her grandchildren were the light and love of her life, and she was always involved in their lives supporting them through all their milestones. She was so proud of their career choices in medicine and law. Becoming a great-grandmother was her crown of joy.
Anna Marie was a medical assistant and worked as a secretary for Bambi Cleaners in South Philadelphia. Anna Marie was also a long time-secretary at Saint Monica’s Rectory. She was President of the Home and School Association of St Monica School and volunteered with the CYO helping teens have fun through athletics, the arts and travel. She retired in 1996 and moved to Longport, NJ, eventually moving to Voorhees, NJ, in 1999.
Family and friends are invited to her visitation Friday morning 10:15AM-11:00AM at Saint Andrew The Apostle Church at 27 Kresson-Gibbsboro Road, Gibbsboro NJ. Mass of Christian burial 11AM. Interment to immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 300 W. White horse Pike Berlin, NJ.
