James P. O’Neill. With deep sorrow we announce the passing of James P. O’Neill, after a brief illness, on June 24, 2015 at the age of 95, at Toms River Community Hospital. Jim was born April 26, 1920 in Camden, New Jersey. He graduated from Camden Catholic in 1938, where he was a catcher for their baseball team. His love of baseball continued throughout his entire life. He was an enthusiastic Notre Dame Football fan, who took every opportunity to travel to South Bend to root on his Fighting Irish. Jim married the love of his life, Helen R. Bendar ( Heigh), in May of 1962. They had 45 wonderful years. Together, they raised his step-son Bobby Heigh. Jim worked for the Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company for over 40 years. He retired to Ocean City, New Jersey, where he and Helen lived happily. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Helen, step-son (Bobby Heigh), and brother Andrew. He is survived by his sister Philomena, granddaughter Jennifer Nielson (Chad), great granddaughter Olivia and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Monday( June 29) between 9:30 and 10:45am at the Danks-Hinski Funeral Home , 125 N . White Horse Pike, at South Ave. Lindenwold, N.J. 08021, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M., from The Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe (St. Lawrence) Catholic Church in Lindenwold, NJ.
