Obituary of William J. Kirksey

On 11/13/14, William J. (Buzz) Kirksey, 61, died peacefully at home. He is survived by his wife Laura (nee Walker), brother Robert, his four children Amy Gannon, Jillian, Stephanie and Stephen Kirksey, and three grandchildren, Zachary, Finn and Molly. Quadriplegic for 18 years, 11 on a respirator, Bill inspired all with his tenacity, bravery, strength, and humor. Unable to speak, his goodness was nonetheless apparent to everyone who met or heard about him. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, 11/19/2014 at the Danks Hinski Funeral Home 125 N. White Horse Pike at South Ave., Lindenwold, from 7pm to 9pm, and again on Thursday 11/20/14 from 9am to 11am. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:30 am at Our lady of Guadalupe Parish, St. Lawrence Campus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's name to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, www.christopherreeve.org; a cause dear to our hearts. Interment at the convince of the family, condolences may be offered at www.dankshinskifuneralhome.com
